Pleasant Valley’s 5th grade students had the opportunity to meet and interact with Congressman Paul Tonko today in our school library. Congressman Tonko brought the students a variety of non-fiction texts that were once part of the Library of Congress in Washington, DC. The book’s topics ranged from outer space to New York State history and will become a part of the school library’s collection. Students were given the opportunity to ask questions about Congress, branches of Government and upcoming legislation. Thank you to Congress men Tonko for visiting Pleasant Valley.
