Pleasant Valley’s newly elected Student Council members were sworn in last week by Schenectady Councilwoman Marion Porterfield. Throughout the process, students have learned about campaigning, governing, branches of government and the roles of citizens and elected officials in our government. After the swearing in, Pleasant Valley’s Student Council, along with Mrs. Slovak’s Kindergarten students, participated in a Flag Ceremony lead by Pleasant Valley’s Mr. Steve Nagy, an active military member. Students learned about the history of the flag and proper flag care. Congratulations to our newly elected Student Council Members!
